Our timber is sourced from three well-established national timber merchants that offer the highest quality sustainable timber. All the timber we purchase is FSC and PEFC accredited. This status ensures that the wood has been harvested from sustainably managed resources.
We offer standard and premium timber so that we can offer affordable products for all budgets. Our standard range includes European Redwood, Sapele, and Idigbo. The premium range comprises of laminated European Redwood, European Oak, and Accoya. We can also offer other alternatives upon request.
Chipping Norton Glass (CN Glass) has been our partner for many years. They are a well-established, quality supplier of double glazed units. In addition, they are accredited to BS EN1279 parts 1 and 3 for the manufacture of double glazed units.
To ensure a long service life, all our softwood products are treated with preservatives before processing through our purpose-built spray shops. Our partner, Teknos (UK) Ltd, works alongside us to ensure that the topical treatment of timber from the preservative application to the final top-coat finish, is in compliance with their approved procedures.
The procedure of preservative treatment, including endgrain sealing, knotting and break joint sealing, in addition to the use of anti-stain primer coats and two topcoats, ensures that the paint finish is low maintenance. This process will typically give several years of performance before total redecoration is required.
Prior to investing in our CNC window line manufacturing plant and tooling, we conducted extensive research to determine which ironmongery products would complement the integrity of the design of our flush window and door sections. As a result, we partnered with IPA. Espagnolette multi-point locking mechanisms are fitted as standard along with IPA’s heavy-duty precision-engineered hinges.
For our storm-proof casement windows, cranked butt hinges or modern friction hinges can be specified along with a choice of espagnolette locking or traditional cockspur side fasteners and casement stays.
Doors are hung on IPA hinges 1 & 1/2 pairs per door, and espagnolette multi-point locking is fitted as standard for improved security.
Sliding sash windows can be hung on traditional cord and lead weight counterbalances. We also offer a more modern alternative, the precision spiral counterbalance.
Our window and door hardware is manufactured from high-quality zinc, for Antique Black and all ‘Hardex’ finishes. The ‘Hardex Electro’ plated finishes are tested and exceed industry standards in every category of performance. Please see the attachment here for more information. White, Black, Anthracite Grey and Silver painted finishes are manufactured in high-quality Aluminium.
